Mellor Knowl Farmhouse is set in the heart of the Peak District village of Wincle, within a traditional working sheep farm, offering a unique and individual place to stay.
This Visit England 5-star rated farmhouse combines space, comfort and a high standard of finish throughout, creating a relaxing and well-equipped base for your stay, whether you’re spending time with family or friends.
Surrounded by open countryside, there are walks directly from the doorstep across fields, woodland and along the River Dane. The local pub, The Ship, is just a short walk across the field, and Wincle Brewery is close by.

Living spaces. A spacious lounge with a log burner provides a comfortable place to relax, along with a large dining room seating up to 12 guests.
Kitchen. A fully equipped kitchen with modern appliances offers everything needed for cooking and entertaining.
Bedrooms and bathrooms. Four well-appointed bedrooms provide flexible accommodation, including king-size and twin rooms, with two en suite bathrooms and a family bathroom.

The Kitchen
A double oven, six burner gas hob, microwave, coffee machine and air fryer, with an adjoining utility room housing a fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and ironing facilities.
The Bedrooms
Bedroom one has a large French bed, original beams and its own en suite wet room. Bedrooms two and three both have king size beds, with an en suite shower room to bedroom three. Bedroom four has two twin beds, perfect for children or friends.
The Bathrooms
Two en suite shower rooms, including the marble wet room to bedroom one, plus a spacious family bathroom with both a bath and a shower serving bedrooms two and four.
Outdoors
Private parking, a large lawn and a patio with seating for eight, a barbecue and a pizza oven, surrounded by a colourful rockery with discreet lighting. Thirty eight acres of fields, woodland and riverbank complete the picture.

Room to Gather, Space to Unwind
Life at the farmhouse flows between four beautiful living rooms. Sink into easy chairs beside the 18th century fireplace in the lounge, gather twelve around the table in the elegant dining room, or watch the light change over the hills from the conservatory. When evening comes, the snug is made for films and firelight.
The Heart of the Farmhouse
The modern kitchen is a cook’s delight, with a double oven, six burner gas hob, microwave, coffee machine and air fryer. An adjoining utility room adds a fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine, so longer stays look after themselves. Morning coffee tastes better with a view of the farm.
Four Beautiful Bedrooms, Sleeping Eight
Upstairs, four lovely bedrooms sleep eight in comfort. Bedroom one is a beamed sanctuary with a large French bed and its own marble wet room. Two further king rooms follow, one with its own en suite shower room, alongside a charming twin room. A family bathroom with bath and shower serves the rest of the house.

Step out to a patio with seating for eight, a barbecue and a pizza oven, surrounded by a colourful rockery with discreet evening lighting.
